To test that the keywords were present in the JPG files outside of Lightroom on the Windows machine, I opened the files in the Viewer and sure enough the tags were present. I have Lightroom 3.4.1 on both machines and in the Windows version I added keywords to all my files, making sure that they were added to the JPG rather than just kept in the Lightroom catalogue. I have spent hours researching a problem that I encountered when moving 26000 photos from a Windows machine to my new Mac.
